About our Festival?

In 1896, the first cinema screening in Istanbul took place at the Sponeck Pub in Beyoğlu district. After the screening of this film by the Lumiere brothers, Beyoğlu became the heart of cinema and festivals. Our team has been organizing independent, avant-garde film screenings in the Beyoğlu region since 2018, giving filmmakers the artist experience they deserve and attaching great importance to their film projects.
Every film carries traces of the artist who made it, we always put this at the forefront.
Our festival is managed by a group of young, cinephile artists. Films of all genres, budgets of all sizes, and any aesthetic are, in our opinion, the main thing that makes cinema the best art form.
Our team, which has organized 12 physical screenings so far, organizes exclusive interviews with the artists, prepares a special festival catalog and creates a large film archive.
While our festival was limited to Istanbul in its first year, it has turned into a structure that works with artists on a global scale since its second season. And now we are active on FilmFreeway!
We continue to keep the concept of "Auteur Cinema" alive with both our physical and online activities and we give the international support it deserves to cinema.
